The Shepherd’s Indulgence - Green Emerald Velvet-Silk Ikat Throw-Blanket / Wall piece
Uzbek Ikat is a weaving-dying technique born of the central Asian section of the Silk Road. This centuries-old tradition has been developed locally, enriched by the influence of South Asian and Indian styles.
This luscious, lighter day-blanket is silk woven ikat on one side, velvet on the other. The fabric is handwoven in Tashkent, and the blanket mosaic is sewn in Istanbul.
